Doctors' strike action this week
The British Medical Association has announced that junior doctors and consultants will be taking part in industrial action this week.
- Consultants will be striking from 7am on Tuesday 19 September to 7am on Thursday 21 September 2023
- Junior doctors will be striking from 7am on Wednesday 20 September to 7am on Saturday 23 September.
Strike action will affect all inpatient and outpatients services at Central Middlesex Hospital, Ealing Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital, and St. Mark’s Hospital.
Therefore, we are cancelling many appointments and planned procedures. If we need to reschedule your appointment, we will send you a new date as soon as possible.
If you don’t hear from us, please come to your appointment as usual.
Urgent and emergency care
In an emergency, always call 999. If you’re unsure where to go, call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk for help.
If it isn’t an emergency, you will experience longer wait times in A&E: please stay away so we can care for the people who really need us.
Maternity services
Our maternity services are open as usual during the junior doctors' strike. If you’re worried about you or your baby, call maternity triage as soon as possible.
Calling us
You will experience longer waits than usual if you’re calling to speak to a relative or friend, or if you’re calling for an update on a relative’s condition. Please bear with us.
