Work experience

We offer work experience in both clinical and non-clinical roles to give you a chance to see life inside the NHS. You can apply for one of our work experience programmes at Central Middlesex, Ealing, or Northwick Park hospitals.

The work experience programme is open to students:

• in years 10 to 13 only
• living in Brent, Ealing, or Harrow
• looking at a career in healthcare

Becoming a healthcare professional is probably one of the most exciting, exhilarating, and rewarding careers going. From the frontlines of A&E, to helping people regain their independence in the community, there’s nothing else like it.

During your work experience you will not take part in any patient care.

We are unable to offer work experience in our busy services such as:

• accident and emergency
• maternity
• paediatrics
• urgent treatment centres

Applications may close earlier than advertised due to high number of applications received.

We may need to cancel your work experience at short notice if there are operational needs.

Applications are now closed for the summer. Our next work experience week is the 26 October to the 30 October 2026.

Applications open on the 7 September and close on the 11 September  2026. We may close earlier if we receive a high volume of applications.

If successful you will receive confirmation four weeks before you start your work experience.
