Trust tops London table for best performing A&E

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is currently the best performing A&E in London for seeing 95.25% of its patients within the agreed four hour target.

The latest figures released by NHSE/I came as A&E attendance starts to climb to pre-Covid-19 levels across the capital.

Deputy Medical Director Jon Baker said: “We’ve had some really busy days in the past week so people are feeling more comfortable about coming to see us.

“The emergency departments usually get the credit for this but it only works if patient flow works throughout our hospitals so credit to our colleagues in the acute and ward based teams for their immense work. It’s a real team effort to provide timely and high quality care to our patients.”

A&E is still divided into green and red zones for treatment of patients with non-respiratory and respiratory conditions.

However, the latter has been substantially reduced in size as the number of Covid-19 patients being treated has reduced to a handful of cases.
