About the service

Our team of specialist dietitians assess and treat you for any problems that you might have relating to your diet or nutrition. They provide:

  • nutritional assessments
  • evidence-based changes to your diet in hospital
  • tailored advice for you, your family or your carers
  • training for you on nutritional issues, as well as offering training for other healthcare professionals.

We're proud to be part of a diverse community, and our dietitians have extensive knowledge and experience of diets and foods from a wide range of cultures.

Our dietitians aim to ensure that you stay well nourished and hydrated throughout your stay in hospital, so that you can recover more quickly. To help us do this, you'll find that our teams record your nutrition and hydration in your clinical notes.
