Our critical care team care for people who are seriously unwell and who need complex care.
Sometimes critical care is also known as intensive care (ICU) or intensive therapy (ITU).
We often look after people who have referred to us from other departments, such as:
- our Emergency Departments
- our respiratory service
- our general surgery service
- our specialist surgery service.
