Some of our services and clinics accept referrals from non-GP referrers, teaching professionals, or parents or guardians. Some services accept paper referrals for clinically urgent cases only.

Paediatric asthma management: diagnostic pathway service at Ealing Community Diagnostic Centre

This service helps to confirm or rule out asthma in children. Early and accurate diagnosis supports timely treatment and may reduce the need for referral to secondary care. 

Tests available 

  • Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNo) measurement 
  • Spirometry with bronchodilator response 
  • Skin prick testing 
  • Eosinophil count 

Clinic times 

We carry out tests Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm 

Referrals 

GPs should refer their patient using the separate Directory of Service (DoS) entry on eRS for paediatric respiratory physiology at the Ealing Community Diagnostic Centre.  

We do not accept referrals from the general respiratory medicine service. 

Appointments 

We aim to offer appointments within two weeks of referral.  

Results 

We send results directly to the patient's GP. 

Important information 

We accept routine referrals for mobile patients, and we can accommodate patients using manual wheelchairs. 

Patients requiring hospital transport should be referred directly to one of our acute hospital sites.
