Some of our services and clinics accept referrals from non-GP referrers, teaching professionals, or parents or guardians. Some services accept paper referrals for clinically urgent cases only.

Adult breathlessnes: diagnostic pathway service at Ealing Community Diagnostic Centre

We provide quick access a range of diagnostic tests to identify the cause of unexplained breathlessness in adults. To determine whether symptoms are linked to a heart or lung condition. 

Tests available 

  • Lung function testing 
  • Echocardiogram 
  • ECG 

Clinic times 

We carry out tests Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm. 

Referrals 

GPs should refer their patient using the separate Directory of Service (DoS) entry on eRS for this service. 

Results 

A respiratory physician will review all results and sends recommendations to the referring GP.  

Important information 

We accept routine referrals for mobile patients, and we can accommodate patients using manual wheelchairs. 

Patients requiring hospital transport should be referred directly to one of our acute hospital sites.
