Orthotics service referrals

Referrals from GPs

Adult orthotics referrals

London North West University Healthcare does not currently accept GP referrals for adult orthotics through the electronic referrals service (eRS).

Community MSK hubs in Harrow and Brent and Community podiatry in Ealing will continue to be able to refer podiatry cases requiring specialist orthotics support onto the service as appropriate.

This allows patients to have swifter assessments and receive treatment in the most appropriate setting for their needs.

If you have any urgent questions, please get in touch with the orthotics team on  lnwh-tr.orthoticsadmin@nhs.net , who will be happy to help.

Paediatric orthotics referrals

GPs can continue to refer children to the LNWH orthotics service using eRS if they are:

  • Five years old or older
  • Younger than 16.
We cannot accept referrals for flexible flat fleet (Pes Planus).

Podiatry

As always, please make all adult referrals for basic foot issues to the relevant community teams where they will be assessed and triaged for treatment.
