Trust gets a cyber hug

One of the UK's leading cyber security experts has popped into Northwick Park to meet our cyber security team.

Phil Huggins, who is the national Chief Information Security Officer for Health and Social Care at the Department of Health and Social Care, came on site to meet cyber security manger Nasser Arif who has distinguished himself by winning several national awards.

Phil, whose credentials include designing and operating security for critical national infrastructure and advising national regulators on cyber resilience and cybersecurity, was keen to find out more about Nasser's work.

Nasser said: “I've met Phil at various conferences but was delighted when he suggested a visit. He spent the morning finding out about some of the projects I've been working on as well as my cyber security plans for the future.

“He kindly gave me some one-to-one time offering really useful advice and guidance based on more than 25 years in the industry. It was interesting to hear more about work being done at a national level which will help us become more cyber resilient moving forward.”
