Top honours for Sam

Orthopaedic surgeon Sam Tross is enjoying a purple patch in her career at Ealing Hospital.

She has followed her success at being appointed to the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons for England earlier this year by being awarded an honorary doctorate by Portsmouth University.

Sam joined fellow luminaries including business leader Tim Cambell and UN Goodwill Ambassador Sabrina Dhowre Elba with recipients drawn from a range of backgrounds including entertainment, healthcare, media and philanthropy.

Professor Graham Galbraith, Vice-Chancellor of Portsmouth University, said: “We are immensely proud to honour these exceptional individuals who embody the very best of human achievement and social impact.

“Their diverse contributions across business, healthcare, media, advocacy and philanthropy perfectly reflect our university's commitment to excellence, innovation and community impact.”
