Rostering team shortlisted for three awards
The Team-Based Rostering Project Team (T-BR) has been shortlisted in three categories at the European RLDatix Awards.
T-BR empowers more than 3,000 nurses and midwives by giving them greater flexibility to choose which shifts they work across the trust’s three sites.
The initiative, which was launched in 2023 to address high levels of staff sickness, turnover, and retention, helped the trust save £1.5m in its first year. It enjoys a 75% staff satisfaction rating.
The team has been shortlisted in the following categories:
• Delivering Safer Care
• Transforming Workforce Wellbeing and Flexibility
• Improving Care Through Data and Insight.
The initiative reflects the trust’s commitment to flexible working, staff wellbeing, and data-driven improvement, and is aligned with the NHS People Promise and Our Way Forward.
T-BR plans to share its learning with hospitals in its sector.
