Plant offers green energy solution

The trust showed its commitment to a greener future by signing an agreement that will help save 2,500 tonnes of carbon a year.

The new energy plant at Northwick Park will replace existing boilers providing a more cost effective eco-friendly solution.

Vitali Energy is delivering the project through the Carbon and Energy Fund Framework which champions complex energy infrastructure upgrades for the NHS and wider Public Sector.

Mark Trumper, Director of Estates and Facilities at LNWH Trust said: “The financial savings and removal of high risk backlog maintenance can’t be underestimated at an NHS Trust of this size and we’re proud to be part of a team contributing to carbon reduction in the capital.”

The 15-year performance based contract will save the trust an estimated £1.9m a year.
