New look uniforms for NHS staff

Staff are sporting a new look as part of a national roll-out of standardised uniforms.

The uniforms will make it easier for staff and patients to identify one another with different specialisms wearing different colours.

The ‘core colour' groups are Allied Healthcare Professionals (ruby and white), Healthcare Science (Teal), Nursing and Midwifery (blue), heads of department (black) and Pharmacy (green).

It is the first time pharmacists have been required to wear a clinical uniform in the trust.

More than 5,000 uniforms have been distributed across the three hospital sites with staff each receiving three sets of uniforms.
