Announcing the appointment, chair of LNWH NHS Trust, Lord Amyas Morse, said: “I am delighted to be able to confirm that we have appointed Pippa Nightingale as our new Chief Executive. Pippa brings with her a wealth of board level expertise and a proven track record of leading complex healthcare organisations.

"Pippa’s strong experience as a system leader at an ICS level and her clinical background in midwifery will bring significant strengths to LNWH.

"I look forward to working with Pippa when she joins our trust next year.

"I would also like to thank Chris Bown for his remarkable leadership as our interim CEO over the last nineteen months.  Chris has been instrumental in our hospitals’ response to the pandemic and provided much needed stability to our organisation during these challenging times. Furthermore, Chris has put considerable leadership and made a personal commitment to progress our equality and diversity agenda, making London North West a fairer and more inclusive place to work."

Pippa commented: “I am delighted to be offered the role of chief executive at LNWH NHS Trust, one of the largest and busiest trusts in London.  I have a passion for ensuring that the NHS offers its patients a high quality and safe patient experience.
