Northwick Park Hospital has celebrated its 50th anniversary.
It comes during an extraordinary year when the hospital was at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19 during the first wave of the pandemic.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan sent a personal video message to staff past and present thanking them for their on-going commitment and hard work along with a message from chief executive Chris Bown.
The hospital took to social media to look back over the past five decades and is planning an exhibition of 50 photographs of members of staff that will go on display before Christmas.
Northwick Park was officially opened by the Queen in 1970. The photograph above also shows a young Margaret Thatcher in the background in her role as a junior minister.
