Flying Finn raises £2,000 for our hospitals

What do you do when lockdown starts to drag and you can’t even see your friends?

Finn Bissett was inspired by the efforts of Captain Tom Moore and set up his own charity challenge: Bike around the Block.

The ten-year-old, who lives in Ealing Common, cycled 100 laps around his neighbourhood raising more than £3,000 for London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

Finn said: “I wanted to support the NHS because they are working tirelessly for us day and night.”

He jazzed the challenge up by having themed laps including painting his face blue, completing a lap in his pants and shoes, and another with a pair of - hopefully clean - grundies on his head.

Finn completed his 35-mile challenge with an NHS flag flying from the back of his bike and was cheered on by family and friends and the local vicar who joined him for 25 laps.
