Company back young cancer patient’s wish for better hospital care

A company providing food, hospitality and support services at Northwick Park Hospital has fulfilled the wishes of a young cancer patient who passed away leaving a list of how hospitals could better look after children.

Sophie Fairall drew up the wish list before passing away from a rare form of cancer at home aged 10.

Sophie's Legacy included wanting parents to be fed while staying with their children in hospital.

In response, Medirest Compass Group Healthcare Services agreed to provide a complimentary meal to parents staying with their child in Jack's Place, the hospital's children's ward.

Sophie's mum Charlotte attended the launch sharing her late daughter's wishes which included improving the quality of meals, seven-day-a-week play specialists, and increasing funding for research into childhood cancer research.
