Chief delivery officer appointed for North West London Acute Provider Group
Edmund King has been appointed as the North West London Acute Provider Group's first chief delivery officer, starting on 2 November 2026, following a competitive recruitment process.
This is a new role for the group, which was established on 1 April 2026. The group brings together four acute hospital trusts in north west London: Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
As chief delivery officer, Edmund will oversee operational performance and delivery across the group, helping to ensure the group achieves its strategic ambitions. The role will support collaboration across the organisations, lead major improvement programmes and help translate strategy into effective day-to-day delivery.
Edmund joins from NHS England London, where he is currently chief of operations - leading operational delivery and recovery across the capital. During more than a decade with NHS England, he has held a range of senior operational leadership roles, developing a strong track record in service improvement, performance management and system-wide collaboration. He played a key role in London's response to the Covid-19 pandemic and has helped lead efforts to reduce patient waiting times in recent years.
