Charity helps spread a smile
Northwick Park has teamed up with national charity Spread a Smile to help children celebrate being given the all-clear after battling cancer.
The charity, which will work with the paediatric oncology shared care unit, will invite children to join virtual group hospital visits with entertainers and take part in themed activity days like World Ice Cream Day.
Miriam Sager, Paediatric Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist, said: “The Spread a Smile team has already visited several times and been invaluable.
“We’ve been truly blown away by their amazing input, thought and care into wanting to support our children and their families. There was pure happiness and joy in the air during their visits.”
Spread a Smile hope to offer their service to other hospital teams like Jack’s Place children’s ward.
