Cancer patient praises hospital's ‘five star service’
‘Phenomenal,’ ‘I’ve never heard that before,’ and ‘wow!’ are not words you would normally associate with radio presenter Nick Ferrari and the NHS after a cancer patient rang the show praising the ‘gold five star service' he received at Northwick Park.
The patient’s GP initially made a referral and, when they got home 20 minutes later, found the hospital had already sent an appointment slot.
There was further good news when he came in for his consultation about the melanoma on his back.
“When can I have the procedure?”
“What about 11am o’clock tomorrow?” replied the doctor who, after checking her schedule, said she had an empty slot and could fit him in later that day.
Now, that’s what you call service.
