About our phlebotomy service at Northwick Park Hospital
You can use our blood test service at Northwick Park Hospital if you have been referred by one of our hospital clinics.
Blood tests requested from GPs are only processed at this hospital for our paediatric phlebotomy service.
If you need an oral glucose tolerance test, please speak to one of our team in the department to make an appointment.
Location and service hours at Northwick Park Hospital
Phlebotomy service for age 3 and over
- Location: Phlebotomy service (blood tests), main outpatients, level 4
- Service: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (last ticket is issued at 4pm)
Paediatric phlebotomy service
- Locations:
- At Paediatric outpatients, near main reception, level 4
- At Rainbow ward, level 3, main ward block
- Service:
- Requests from GPs are booked in advance, Tuesday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm
- In-hospital requests are taken Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm.
- Criteria:
- For age 2 years and under
- For age 2-12 year olds who have learning disabilities, autism or Down's syndrome and previous blood test attempts have been unsuccessful
- Your GP will need to request the blood tests on the ICE system and book an appointment
- Please contact your GP to cancel or reschedule your appointment

- Age 3-12 years who do not meet the criteria for paediatric phlebotomy
