Why did you become a volunteer?
I have a fair amount of free time and having previous volunteer experience I felt that I had valuable skills that could be offered in the community. I was interested in volunteering at Northwick Park as it offers so many varied and different roles to become involved with.
What’s your average day like?
It’s varied which makes it interesting and fun! I’m mainly helping with admin work, so could be sending emails, answering telephone queries, filing and offering general support to the Voluntary Services department.
What do you enjoy the most?
The people! It’s wonderful to hear their stories and experiences of volunteering and to see how dedicated they are.
How does volunteering help patients, visitors and staff?
I’m able to help by supporting the Voluntary Services department with the day-to-day admin tasks.
How did you find out about volunteering?
I was discussing volunteering with a friend who referred me to the Trust’s website.
