Stay well this Summer Bank Holiday

Not every GP practice will be open over the Bank Holiday, but you can still access healthcare services as appropriate during this time.

Your local pharmacist can offer free, qualified health advice at any time, and no appointment is necessary. From coughs and colds to aches and pains, they provide expert help on everyday illnesses and answer questions about prescribed and over the counter medicines. They can also offer confidential advice on healthy eating, obesity and giving up smoking.

A full list of pharmacy opening and closing times during the Bank Holiday weekend across London can be found here.

Call NHS 111

NHS 111 can signpost you to a range of local health services, including doctors, community nurses, emergency dental care and late opening chemists. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is free to call from landlines and mobile phones.

GP services out of hours

Across the capital, patients are getting increased access to GP services out of hours through primary care access hubs. Through these hubs, patients can now book appointments to see a GP in the evening or at weekends from 8-8 across 87% of London. You can book into access hubs by calling NHS 111 or by speaking to your GP practice.
