Free WiFi is now available across the trust’s hospital sites.
The development gives patients and visitors the chance to use their mobile devices 24/7 at Ealing, Central Middlesex, Northwick Park and St Marks hospitals.
Simply select ‘NHS WiFi’ and register for free.
“It’s all about giving people more choice and flexibility,” said Sonia Patel, Joint Chief Information Officer at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.
“We know people want to keep in contact with loved ones when they are in hospital or simply get a bit bored of being in bed so it’s a worthwhile investment.”
Roger Garland, who was visiting his elderly mother in Northwick Park Hospital added: “I’ve been in hospital a couple of times myself and its welcome distraction. There is only so long you can sit in bed, stare out of the window or read a book.”
