Following the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in June, there has been a lot of media coverage focusing on the safety of cladding on buildings, including hospitals.
We want to reassure all our patients, visitors and the public that the limited cladding we do have on our buildings has been recently inspected and we have not identified any risks. Since last year we have carried out fire safety works across the Trust, with more extensive work taking place at Northwick Park Hospital.
Our fire alarms are tested regularly at our hospitals and community sites and in the unlikely event of a fire, we have tried and tested procedures in place to respond as necessary.
We continue to work closely with the London Fire Brigade on all fire safety matters.
