If you need an interpreter for your appointment, whether at one of our hospitals, clinic sites or for care being received in your own home, then please ask a friend or family member to let the clinical team know in advance so that the appropriate interpreter can be booked. Interpreting may be provided by an interpreter in the room or over a telephone.
We also provide British Sign Language (BSL) and other forms of language support such as tactile interpreting and lip-speaking. If a BSL signer is required please contact the clinical team as soon as possible as these bookings require two or three week’s notice.
