Urogynaecology

The urogynaecology unit within the women's services directorate offers a wide range of investigations and treatment for various urinary (bladder) and faecal incontinence problems in women as well as vaginal prolapse problems.

The service incorporates robust protocols for bladder neck surgery and provides information on urodynamics, pelvic floor physiotherapy, drug treatment of overactive bladder (anticholinergics), urinary retention, and various types of bladder neck surgery for stress urinary incontinence.
