Rheumatology

The Rheumatology service provides an outpatient service for the assessment and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders. These are conditions that affect the bones, joints and tissues in the body such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, including diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, connective tissue diseases and osteoporosis.

The Rheumatology department works closely with physiotherapy, utilising the hydrotherapy, acupuncture, pain management and hand therapy services.

A GP referral is required to be seen by one of our Rheumatology team. Urgent referrals can be made by the GP by telephoning the Rheumatology Team and following this up with a letter (post or fax).

Across the three sites, the Rheumatology service provides daily Outpatient clinics; these are held at Ealing, Northwick Park and St Marks and Central Middlesex hospitals.
