  • Occupational therapyThe Occupational therapy department provides services to inpatients and outpatients across both Central Middlesex, Ealing and Northwick Park hospital sites. Occupational therapists assist people to gain maximum independence to perform activities of daily living.
  • OphthalmologyThe Ophthalmology or eye service has seven consultants with expertise covering all areas of ophthalmology (eye care). The service offers a full range of outpatient services covering all general and specialist aspects of ophthalmology.
  • Organ donation and transplantationThere are currently over 7,000 people on the UK national transplant waiting list. It is therefore vital that we continue to build on the current success and continue to make more progress.
  • OrthodonticsOrthodontics is a regional service and part of the Trust's oral and maxillio-facial surgery department. Referrals welcome from GPs, dentists and specialist orthodontists from all areas of north west London and surrounding counties. Orthodontic care offered for the most severe and complex malocclusions (misaligned teeth).
  • OrthopaedicsOrthopaedics, the field of medicine and surgery that deals with injuries to and problems with the musculoskeletal system, is based at Northwick Park, Central Middlesex and Ealing hospitals. The service offers a full range of elective (non-emergency) and trauma (emergency) services including day surgery and complex inpatient surgery.
  • OutpatientsIf you are visiting one of our hospitals because your GP has recommended you see a specialist, you will be given an outpatients appointment. This means you will visit an outpatient clinic for a few hours and then return home again, you will not stay in the hospital overnight.
