As a Trust we aim to achieve the best practice standards by supporting breastfeeding and close parent-infant relationships by ensuring as new parents you are supported in making informed decisions around feeding your baby. We want to support you in building a relationship with your new baby as this is the best possible start in life and evidence shows this supports optimum brain development.
The leaflet Building a happy baby: A guide for parents is a good place to start finding out about putting these foundations in place and the video below on Breastfeeding and relationships in the early days discusses the importance of getting to know your baby as the principal start of a strong relationship.
We thank Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative www.babyfriendly.org.uk for preparing this video.

Ealing community services provide infant feeding support through the Early Start Team and children's centres. We offer infant feeding support through home visits, infant feeding groups and complex feeding clinics. Please contact your Early Start health visitor for further details.
