The service assesses and treats patients who suffer from symptoms of an infection or tropical disease.
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)The world-renowned Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) service based predominately at St Mark's Hospital encompasses all aspects of IBD care; medical, nursing and surgical treatment, psychological and nutritional support, research and education, as well as service for the transition from childhood to adulthood.
  • Intensive careOur Intensive care units (ICU) care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs. The expert care that is provided for patients with these complex conditions cannot be provided elsewhere in the hospital. We have intensive care units at three of our hospital sites.
  • Interventional RadiologyAs part of the West London Vascular& Interventional Centre, the unit performs a wide range of vascular and non-vascular Interventional procedures utilising minimally invasive techniques. We treat many medical and surgical complaints, ranging from complex thoracic and abdominal aneurysms to uterine fibroids.
  • Intestinal failureThe Intestinal failure unit at St Mark's Hospital is a specialist centre dedicated to the assessment and management of patients with intestinal failure. The unit is supported by a multi-disciplinary team who offer a comprehensive approach to patients with intestinal failure.
