Dietetics and nutrition

The nutrition and dietetics department comprises of a team of specialist dietitians. We are a dynamic and enthusiastic team of over 50 dietitians working in acute and community settings.

We assess and treat diet and nutrition related problems, providing effective, evidence based nutritional assessment, dietary intervention and tailored advice to patients, their carers and all staff involved in patient care. We also provide training and education to patients and health care professionals.

We have extensive knowledge and experience of the diverse foods and diets in our multi-cultural community.

We promote adequate nutrition and hydration for all patients. Our role includes identification and prevention of malnutrition using screening tools and education of staff.
