Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy

The chaplaincy team offer spiritual, religious and pastoral care to patients, families and staff at all hospital sites. Coming into hospital can be a worrying experience, and the chaplains are there to listen in confidence and to offer support.

They may also help you continue to practice your faith while in hospital; among our chaplains there are representatives of various faiths so that you may find the most suitable support. However, that ‘listening ear’ also extends to those who do not express a religious preference, and may have no faith at all yet have values of their own and wish to talk to someone who is ready to listen, in a respectful and non-judgmental way.

This may be particularly meaningful when someone is worried about things such as illness, dying and bereavement, life changes, emotional hurts and relationships.
