Investing in our talent

Being part of a trust at the leading edge of reconfiguring our services will provide you with access to some of the best professional, personal and career development available anywhere.

If we are going to provide the quality of treatment and care that we want to, we need a workforce with the right skills. And that is even more important to us than the great reputation we have earned for training and development.

Whether you are a clinical practitioner or work in one of our many important supporting roles, the quality of our patient care is totally dependent on the contribution of each member of staff and how we work together. We therefore believe that by investing in staff development and training at all levels in the organisation, all our staff can achieve their potential and we will be able to achieve our objective to deliver the best possible care to our patients.

We provide an unrivalled range of training programmes to support and develop you. As soon as you join us, you will attend a comprehensive induction programme and agree a personal, yearly development plan with your manager; this will cover your mandatory training requirements as well as both your personal and professional development needs. We are currently developing a careers advisory service to support staff further. And we have an impressive range of resources to help you follow that plan with training and education centres in two of our hospital sites, including a simulation centre based at Northwick Park.
