About us

Northwick Park Dental Education Centre (NPDEC) offers world class dental courses for every member of the dental team within the Trust and beyond.

Opened in November 2012, the centre is dedicated to training dental healthcare professionals, driving up clinical standards and improving clinical leadership.

As a joint enterprise between London North West Healthcare NHS Trust and the NHS London Deanery, NPDEC provides a wide range of dental courses for postgraduate dental professionals, covering compulsory continuing professional development (CPD) courses alongside more innovative CPD courses which will help improve patient care.

Courses

The majority of courses at NPDEC are booked via the London Deanery’s CPD management and course booking portal, eWisdom

If you wish to make a booking you will be required to complete the quick and easy registration. Once your account has been activated, you will be able to book any course of your choice, as long as it  is relevant to your registered role i.e. dental nurse, general dental practitioner, hygienist etc.

All courses on eWisdom are fully verifiable and meet the requirements set by the General Dentistry Council (GDC) for five years of yourlifelong learning cycle. Your eWisdom account keeps a history of courses booked and attended, your course feedback and most importantly, your CPD certificates. Over time if you have not already set a personal development plan (PDP) within your account, eWisdom will start to populate your PDP and this can be used to provide your cycle details to the GDC.

It goes without saying that we aim to provide you with the highest standard of courses and with this in mind, we are looking to extend the CPD programme by running specialist training programmes, such as in periodontics. If you wish to be added to the mailing list for these courses, please get in touch
