London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is pleased to host the Chief Nursing Officer’s Black and Minority Ethnic Advisory Group 9th Annual Conference. 

We are one of the largest integrated care Trust’s in the country, bringing together hospital and community services across the diverse London boroughs of Brent, Ealing and Harrow with 60 per cent of our own workforce from a BME background. 

This conference is for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals across the NHS in England. 

The theme for this year’s conference is:

Jane Cummings - Chief Nursing Officer for England
Prof Jane Cummings, Chief Nursing Officer for England

Professor Cummings became Chief Nursing Officer for England in June 2012and is the professional lead for all nurses and midwives in England (with the exception of public health) and published the ‘6C’s’ and ‘Compassion in Practice’ in December 2012. She is the NHS England national director sponsor for the programme to transform care for people with learning disabilities and chairs the delivery board. She is also the lead national director for maternity.

Sadiq Khan has been Mayor since June 2016. His role is to promote economic development and wealth creation, social development, and improvement of the environment. The Mayor also has various other duties in relation to culture and tourism, including responsibility for Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square.

Getting there

Public transport is the best option for getting to the Brent Civic Centre.  

The 83, 483, 92, 182 and 206 buses all stop near the building and the nearest station is Wembley Park (Metropolitan and Jubilee lines). Download the local bus route mapand live local travel updates.

There is Blue Badge parking and cycle spaces at the centre, but only a limited number of paid-for parking spaces. Visit the Brent Civic Centre car park pagefor more information.
