Andrew Farrell and Ruwan Weerasekera have been appointed to a further term as Non-Executive Directors of London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.
The appointments were made by NHS Improvement who are responsible for appointing all Chairs and Non-Executives to NHS Trusts throughout England.
Both appointments have been extended for two years and Andrew’s appointment will end on 31 July 2019 and Ruwan's will end on 31 August 2019.
Andrew joined the Trust in August 2015. He has more than 30 years’ experience in senior finance and operational roles, most recently during the past 12 years as Finance Director and Chief Financial Officer at the London School of Economics. He has been involved in significant organisational, operational, estates/facilities and IT development and transformation projects at Xerox Corporation and the LSE.
Andrew chairs the Audit and Integrated Governance committees and is a member of the Clinical Excellence, Finance and Performance, Patient and Staff, and Charitable Trust Fund Management committees.
Ruwan joined the Trust in September 2015. He is currently a Managing Director of UBS AG, where he has also been Chief Operating Officer of Securities. He chairs the Strategy Committee and is a member of the Appointments and Remuneration, Audit, Charitable Trust Funds Management,Clinical Excellence, and Finance and Performance committees. Ruwan has a local interest in the Trust, having lived in Harrow with his family for many years.
