The League of Friends of Northwick Park Hospital is a charity set up solely to raise funds to improve the patient's experience during their stay in hospital and complements the clinical and non clinical services within Northwick Park Hospital.
Our volunteers and members have been raising funds for more than 40 years for medical and non-medical purposes; with the aim of helping to improve the health, care and comfort of the patient as a priority.
We greatly appreciate the support of our members, volunteers and the local population, and a huge thank you to the enduring generosity and support of donors without which our work would not be possible.
to raise funds to support the patient experience as well as that of the patient's families
to build our volunteer base, by actively recruiting volunteers to help achieve the aspirations of The League of Friends of Northwick Park Hospital
to raise the profile and presence of The League in order to continue its good work.
Formed in 1971, the League of Friends of Northwick Park Hospital started out with one trolley which toured the wards selling day-to day essentials. At its height the League boasted over 200 volunteers and a weekly turnover of over £10,000.
In 2009 the facilities at the hospital were upgraded and with the addition of high street stores it meant the League had to rise the the challenge of competing with other traders.
However, the League are resilient and continue to raise funds to benefit patients', their families and staff.
